I think we're close to ready to make the first of these Grid 2 republications: most of the subgrid-related stuff, including the gap discussions, have been edited in. There are currently two open subgrid issues: https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/2564 This is on various details about how parent line names are passed through to the subgrid, clarifying how exactly that works. The edits have been made, so it's marked Agenda+ for verification https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/2592 This is on how the subgrid's own margins/border/padding are accounted for. There are two reasonable options here, so I've marked it as an open issue in the draft. I propose we resolve the first issue before publish, and if the second one has an obvious answer, we can close on that, too and I'll make the edits. Otherwise I propose we republish with it noted as an open issue in the draft to give more time for feedback. > (Since Echidna makes WDs easy to publish and we can follow the > “Publish often” aspect of “Publish early, publish often”, I'm > hoping this split in pending edits won't be a problem. :) ~fantasai
