You know, there are good reasons to use plain text when it's appropriate (and that's a lot of the time) are are 3: * text emails are smaller, transfer faster, and render quickly * if, as an author, all you are relying on is that people will see and be able to read your words, your low expectations are unlikely to be disappointed. Sadly, the consistency of rendering of rich-text emails leaves a lot to be desired * rich text can interact badly with quoting, which we use a lot (in fact, sometimes it's really hard to trim down quotes in rich text) would this email have been any easier/better to read in rich text?
