The spec had an issue[1] which characters to draw emphasis marks for. Some of us discussed on this, and within the discussion, some people strongly believes traditional rules not to draw marks for punctuation, symbols, etc. are honored on the Web. Therefore we've come up with a proposal to add the 'text-emphasis-skip' property[2]. Feedback on this is greatly appreciated.
