Hello, There are new drafts for the CSS Regions effort: - http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-regions/ - http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-exclusions/ The main changes from the previous draft are: - the draft has been split in two modules: one covering the CSS regions (the issue of flowing content from one container box to another) and one covering CSS Exclusions (the issues of defining arbitrary shapes into which content can flow, or around which content can flow). - the CSS Exclusions draft is almost identical to the previous draft section on exclusions, except for an abstract and a note about combining exclusions. - most of the work changes are in the CSS Regions draft. There are new examples and a slightly different syntax (e.g., for region styling). There is also an effort to describe how this fits into the rest of the CSS formatting model. One of the premises of the new draft is that the issue of positioning and sizing regions is a problem handled by other specifications that CSS Regions should integrate with. This is the reason for not having a 'slots' draft (which was the first part of the previous draft). Many thanks to the reviewers of the previous draft for their comments. This was extremely helpful in putting this new version together. More feedback is welcome on this new draft! Thanks! Vincent Hardy
