In <http://dev.w3.org/csswg/cssom/#requirements-on-user-agents-implementing-the-http-link-header>: "1. Let title be the value of the first of all the title and title* parameters. If there are no such parameters it is the empty string." - RFC 5987 and 5988 (which should be cited here) suggest that title* should take precedence when both are there - Also, when title* is used, you can't simply take the value, RFC5987-post-processing is required Best regards, Julian
