It's exactly like depicted here: http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-images/#linear-gradients Corner-to-corner gradients used to map to one angle value (WD 2011 Feb) and now they map to a different angle value (ED 2011 Aug). How they behave with the angle chosen hasn't changed since 2011 Feb.
