Am I right in saying that apart from the dynamic pseudo class the CSS specifications do not describe any other dynamic behaviour, e.g. They do not mention that changing the underlying DOM to which the styles are being applied could cause styles to be reapplied, and so effectively provide other ways to provide feedback to the user about the dynamic state of the page. That part is covered by the HTML / DOM specifications.
