An updated WD of Generated Content for Paged Media is available: http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-gcpm/ The new WD has fewer features than the previous version: http://www.w3.org/TR/2007/WD-css3-gcpm-20070504/ The motivation for shedding features is to have a specification that is simpler to implement, more aliened with implementations, and more mature. There are, however, some new things in the new draft: - the 'env()' function returns data from the local environment of the user at the time of formatting. - inline footnotes; the value of 'display' in the @footnote context will determine if footnotes are block or inline Two of the features that were removed from this draft will appear in other places: - 'border-clip' is here: http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css4-background/ - 'text-replace' is too useful to forget, but too powerful for this spec (sulk) Cheers, -h&kon Håkon Wium Lie CTO °þe®ª howcome@opera.com http://people.opera.com/howcome
