Sorry for this, but this Working Groups is 
not aimed to respond to *partical* problems
about CSS or other related technologies. This
WG works on extending or clarifying the 
CSS standards.

If you really find no solution to your problem,
I would advice you to post your question in a
specialised forum in your locale.

To my understanding though, IE 6.0 doesn't 
recognize XHML (IE7 and 8 don't either, but 
they maybe better recover than IE 6.0). This
*may* explain some problems you face...
