When a document enters Candidate Recommendation status the W3C issues a so-called Call for Implementations along with an updated version of the document that reflects the document's new status and any changes made during the previous phase. You can check the current status of any document by following the Latest Version link in the document or through the Technical Report index at <http://www.w3.org/TR/>. The CSS3 Paged Media draft has not yet entered Candidate Recommendation status. >How long does it typically take to move from CR to REC if there are no >significant objections? There is no typical duration of the CR phase, some documents remain in that phase for years due to lack of implementations or e.g. technical problems, others remain there only for a few months. From the CSS index at http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/current-work you can see how other CSS drafts have fared so far. -- Björn Höhrmann · mailto:bjoern@hoehrmann.de · http://bjoern.hoehrmann.de Weinh.
