I could just be missing it, as most searches with the word "Vertical" in them seem to be finding things related to text which is meant to be displayed vertically. In the CSS3 draft, I see no refrence to a thing which seemed missing from CSS2- a way to vertically-align something so that the middle of the (text, image, object, etc) appears along the middle of the parent object. That is, the effect which was created using <TD valign="CENTER"> I'd like to move away from using tables. I know that there's no way to do this in CSS2 (without reliance on absolute dimensions), is this missing from CSS3 as well? -- ----------------------- Vincent Starre thebitman@comcast.net
