This is the CSS WG's response to an issue you raised on the last CSS 2.1 draft (http://www.w3.org/TR/2003/WD-CSS21-20030915). We want to publish CSS 2.1 as a CR in about two weeks. Please let us know this week if you think our response is wrong. Your e-mail: http://www.w3.org/mid/3F94ECB2.3080503@escape.com # Properties set on elements that are turned into anonymous block boxes # still apply to the content of the element. For example, if a border # had been set on the BODY element in the above example, the border # would be drawn around C1 and C2. Would the border be drawn as a block border around C1 and another around C2, or would the border be drawn as an inline border around C1 and another around C2? CSS WG response: See issue 206. For the CSS WG, Bert
