Float has to have explicit width http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/visuren.html#floats http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/visuren.html#floats |A floated box must have an explicit width (assigned via the 'width' |property But there is new way to handle width:auto; for float in CSS2.1 http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/visudet.html#q8 compare http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/visudet.html#q8 Initial value of width is auto. So this requirement of explicit width seems to be conflicting common sence. Other stuff: There should be more id attributes in the spec, so it would be easier to refer to exact place. It would propably be easiest to add id (automatically )to each paragraph. Now there is parts in spec that have many pages of information whitout any id's. Now there is no id's after http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/visuren.html#floats for pages. (CSS-signature would be nice also.)
