Hello www-style, Since CSS 2.1 is shaping up as a CSS2 replacement and since CSS3 in its entirety might take some time to become a reality; and since there is already at least one implementation of @namespace (Mozilla) it occurs to me that witjh only one or two more implementations it would be possible to pass Candidate recommendation without significant delay, and the resulting specification would be much more suitable for styling multi-namespace XML documents. The actual functionality and specification of @namespace has been static for *three years*. Its time to move it forward. SVG 1.2 would also likely refer to @namespace, since multi-namespace usage is also an area of increasing concern among SVG implementors. Who among the (X(HTML)) implementor community a) has already implemented it b) would add it in the next three months if that meant that CSS2.1 could have this functionality? -- Chris mailto:chris@w3.org
