The original impetus for this email was this bug: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=176310 I'm *not* a CSS whiz so please forgive me if I'm missing something obvious or if I don't use the correct terminology. In short, I think the quotation characters generated by <Q> around a quote should always inherit the text/font characteristics of the surrounding block. Only the quote itself should be affected by changing text/font styles of <Q>. If this is wrong-headed, let me know. :) -s
