How about "floating"? if H3 was floatable like am IMG element then the
P element would wrap around it... oh, oops, I read furthur that you
mention the CSS1 equivilent

I wish implementation of CSS1 would be more complete... MSIE lacks a
lot of potential CSS1 support... many things I would like to play
with...
