I disagree on this point, it is more easy to parse backgroundColor, hence it is a RGBA or RGB part. Since this is present in all other RGB(A) parsing routines the actual introduced backgroundOpacity is more complicated and involves an extra attribute parsing. If this is the SMIL *3* CR, I guess it is good to meet up the CSS *3* standard that is already in place. If you are saying: but realnetworks already invented a backgroundOpacity attribute, and we need to support their work... please say this. Because currently it is in their namespace, supporting it in the W3 namespace would mean removing it in the next version (that seems very stupid). Yours Sincerely, Stefan de Konink
