Rose, I don't think you're going to have many options when it comes creating SMIL players (at least for now). Creating a custom player seems like a pretty involved task (one I haven't tried). But here's a link to SMIL players http://www.w3.org/AudioVideo/#SMIL The Real Player seems to have the best support of playing SMIL in a web page. Any info as to why you need to customize a player?
