Passing information into and out off SMIL files

All,

  In my experimentation with SMIL 1.0, i have not been able to find a way to
pass routing information back into a smil file. For example, if i have a central
server which accepts HTTP requests for content, and then passes back an
RTSP://IP/file.rm to the requestor, is there anyway i can use that functionality
with SMIL? Currently all attempts have given errors.

Code Example:

<video region="main" src="http://fileroute.company.com/video.rm"/>

My router will return back

rtsp://ipaddress/video.rm to the requestor, but fails when i try it from SMIL
1.0.

Let me know if you have any thoughts, or if this has been addressed and plans to
be corrected in future versions of SMIL
