I'm one of the volunteer editors at the Open Directory Project. A specific category for SMIL has recently been created http://dmoz.org/Computers/Data_Formats/Markup_Languages/SMIL/ and if you know of any additional resources that should be listed, please use the Add URL link. Note, a site with a lot of SMIL information, like Streaming Media World still only gets one reference in the Directory. So just ensure that your main SMIL pages are referenced in the directory.
