How about defining "foaf:knowsEachOther" as a sub-property of foaf:knows? foaf:knowsEachOther rdf:type owl:SymmetricProperty foaf:knowsEachOther rdfs:subPropertyOf foaf:knows As Jeremy Carroll and Tim Nowaczyk pointed out, it may be useful to do so.
