Of interest to the XMListically inclined... Dan ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Fri, 16 Aug 2002 18:04:56 -0400 From: Massimo Marchiori <massimo@w3.org> To: www-webdav-dasl@w3.org Subject: Announcement: New W3C specifications of XQuery and XPath2 Resent-Date: Fri, 16 Aug 2002 18:04:57 -0400 (EDT) Resent-From: www-webdav-dasl@w3.org [apologies for multiple postings] W3C's XML Query and XSL Working Groups have published today (August 16) new updated drafts of the following specifications: XML Query Use Cases available at http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlquery-use-cases XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0 Data Model available at http://www.w3.org/TR/query-datamodel/ XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0 Formal Semantics available at http://www.w3.org/TR/query-semantics/ XML Path Language (XPath) 2.0 available at http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath20 XQuery 1.0: An XML Query Language available at http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery XQuery 1.0 and XPath 2.0 Functions and Operators Version 1.0 available at http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery-operators General discussion on the drafts can be done in the www-ql@w3.org mailing list (archives at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-ql/ ). Comments and feedback on the drafts solely addressed to the working groups should instead be sent at public-qt-comments@w3.org (archives at http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-query-comments/ ). Note you can't subscribe to this list, as it's just used one-way to send comments and issues (so, it is not a discussion forum, you can use www-ql@w3.org for that). Patent disclosures relevant to the specifications produced by the XML-Query working group can be found on the XML Query Working Group's patent disclosure page at http://www.w3.org/2002/08/xmlquery-IPR-statements Specifications that are joint work with the XSL working group have also the additional patent disclosures provided by the XSL wg at http://www.w3.org/Style/XSL/Disclosures . Latest versions and news always available from the XML Query page (http://www.w3.org/XML/Query ). -Massimo /---------------------------------------------------------------\ | Massimo Marchiori | | The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Tel: + 1 617 4523757 | | MIT Laboratory for Computer Science Fax: + 1 617 2585999 | | University of Venice Tel: +39 041 2908423 | | WWW: http://w3.org/People/Massimo Fax: +39 041 2908419 | | Email: massimo@w3.org | \---------------------------------------------------------------/
