Libby Miller was attempting to write such an app (some of that code is still in RDFAuthor) in Java + Swing. It was a nightmare. So I started porting it to Java + MacOS X. Which was easy. The NeXT development tools (as they once were) are very easy to use, which meant I rarely had to worry about UI stuff. I like an easy life. Libby has offered an amount of beer (I forget how much) to anyone who ports it to Swing. I need beer, so tried JBuilder - nasty. But the offer stands, I believe. I might try porting it to GNUStep, since it would then work on my machine (linux) and (possibly) Windoze. Regardless, I'd like this to be seen as a demonstration of a class of tools that would be really useful to non-geeks. Anyway, you could always buy a mac. iBooks are very nice ;-) Damian - -- Key fingerprint = 30F0 FB16 DA72 D8F2 DA3D B3D4 0322 C207 E993 B729 rw-rw-rw- the permissions of the Beast | BALTIMORA P2PBSH -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Processed by Mailcrypt 3.5.5 and Gnu Privacy Guard <http://www.gnupg.org/> iD8DBQE72IM+AyLCB+mTtykRAgWCAKC+fF+CPc70VL53uGqCnX1ZN/lkKACg+OhL kcdVSfdS6i14NI4bu2e0vnM= =3huh -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
