The role of the ID attribute in production [5] is highly problematical in that you are not allowed by production [2] to use both the about and the ID attribute for a description. By preempting the role of an id attribute you make it impossible to assign a unique identifier to a description about a resource so that it can be referenced by other applications needing to know the definition of the RDF statement being described.
