Comment on current RDF Schemas working draft WD-rdf-schema-19980409. I cannot see how the value of one property can be constrained, depending on the value of another property. This situation is best explained by an example. To specify a contact person the set of metadata elements would include COUNTRY and STATE. If the value of COUNTRY is "Australia" then exactly one STATE is chosen from a controlled list of states. However, if the value of COUNTRY is "New Zealand" then STATE does not apply. Is this something that the RDF Schema mechanism should be capable of, or does this belong solely in the domain of validating parser applications?
