I was recently sent (for my sins as an editor of RFC 3339) a reference to a page of translations of the calendrical works of Christian Zeller, who'se "Zeller's conguence" is cited in RFC 3339 as the formula for day-of-week calculations. There's also work there of calculation of Easter. This page is, I am informed, an online English translation from Zeller's original work.
