New W3C XML-QUERY Requirements Document

The W3C XML Query Working Group has just published its first
public Working Draft "XML Query Requirements" at
http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlquery-req

From the abstract:
> This document specifies goals, usage scenarios, and requirements for
> the W3C XML Query data model, algebra, and query language.

Comments are solicited from the public at this time.
As indicated in the status section of the document, the working group
feels that the contents of this Working Draft are pretty much stable,
and therefore strongly encourages reviewers to provide feedback as
early as possible.

As indicated in the document, public comments should be sent to
the mailing list www-xml-query-comments@w3.org
(publicly archived at
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-query-comments/ ).
