Hi everyone on the list, The reason the validator results are broken on the validator for Bill is because of a change of Policy in Chrome [1] with regards to HTTP referer header. This is still working in Safari and Firefox (for now). So on a Bill’s site [2], the icon in the bottom page is sending a request to https://validator.w3.org/check?uri=referer&verbose=1 But the referer is now just https://penelope.uchicago.edu/ hence the strange behavior. There’s nothing to do to fix that and such dependency issue is likely to increase given the propension of browsers to tighten the privacy issues.
