I was looking for "test assertion" in the W3C Glossary and I found 3 references. http://www.w3.org/2003/glossary/keyword/All/?keywords=test%20assertion * First definition comes from "Specification Guidelines" version 2003-05-16 "A set of premises that are known to be true by definition in the spec." * Second from the final version of the document "A measurable or testable statement of behavior, action, or condition. It is derived from the specification's requirements." Suggestion: - When a definition is available in a last version of a document just display this one or put them in a thread ordered by date from most recent to oldest. * test assertion "Last definition" - date - previous def 1 - previous def 2 Another thing I have noticed that will not be solvable for legacy documents, but could be improved for future one is to encourage the use of "id" for definitions. > The use of the W3C Glossary is encouraged on [39]W3C Editors home > page. > [39] http://www.w3.org/2003/Editors/ Maybe it could be encouraged in manual of style, to use a unique id. So it's possible to point to the definition from outside and that W3C Glossary provides a link to this id. Dom, I haven't found a page where it is explained for editors how to create the right markup for their document. http://www.w3.org/2003/03/glossary-project/analysis#datamodel This is the only information I have found about it. Maybe you would volunteer to write a Weblog entry giving the markup and explaining simply without too many details how the system is working. -- Karl Dubost - http://www.w3.org/People/karl/ W3C Conformance Manager, QA Activity Lead QA Weblog - http://www.w3.org/QA/ *** Be Strict To Be Cool ***
