Mark Skall raised an issue during its review of XInclude with SpecGL [[[ In two of the requirements, I think we need to tighten up what conformance means. For identifying deprecated features, and to a lesser extent, for including normative references, when these things are not included in the spec, how do we know whether they were not applicable or if the spec was non-conformant by leaving them out when they did pertain? Perhaps we should mandate that should always be a section on these, with a possible response as "non-applicable" in the spec? ]]] - http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-qa-wg/2004Dec/0011 Abstract: * How do we check that a section is not in a "Umbrella specification" because of not applicability or lack of it? * Should we have sections with non applicable. Suggestion: * Fill the SpecGL ICS and put a link to it in your specification. Inside the ICS, explain your choices. -- Karl Dubost - http://www.w3.org/People/karl/ W3C Conformance Manager *** Be Strict To Be Cool ***
