Hello QA IG, As you may have learned reading through the QA Working Group minutes [1], it was decided that the Test Guidelines part of the QA Framework, whose goal is to help Working Groups go through the test suites development process, has been put on hold for the time being, waiting for the QA Handbook and the Specification Guidelines to stabilize again and/or for the Working Group to get appropriate resources to work on this topic. Given that the latest version of the document published in February 2004 [2] didn't reflect the direction that the WG had chosen to take with regard to the QA Framework, and to this specific document in particular, the Working Group has published an update to the document at: http://www.w3.org/TR/2004/WD-qaframe-test-20040820/ which lists the various ways the Working Group would like to sustain some effort on the topic without actually working on the document. """ You may email comments about this or previous Test Guidelines documents, or about topics in the TestGL Wiki area, to www-qa@w3.org, the publicly archived list of the QA Interest Group. [...] You are also encouraged to contribute your ideas, examples, or related materials directly to the TestGL Wiki area. """ Please indeed have a look at the QA Wiki home page [3] and contribute if you can to the topics listed under "Building a Test Suite", from which the Working Group plans to restart its effort on Test Guidelines in the upcoming months.
