Here is a last call comment from Jonathan Marsh (jmarsh@microsoft.com) on QA Framework : Specifications Guidelines (and Examples and Techniques) received by the LC form system. Submitted on behalf of: WS Description WG Comment type: Substantive The comment applies to: "Guideline 9 Allow extensions or NOT!" Comment title: Don't discourage extensibility Comment: The position of the QA framework WG, that extensions should not be allowed, is quite clear. This is a political position, and doesn't accomodate those working on specifications that clearly demand public extensibility. In the guidelines, describe conformance. Discourage extensibility elsewhere. We note that these guidelines are, themselves, extensible.
