Re: Looking for a Proxy

Netscape did modify the authentication scheme offered by HTTP 1.0 because the
original one was not thought out correctly at the first place and was not
working correctly when used behind an authenticating firewall.
Netscape noticed the problem 1.5 year ahead of everyone else and fixed it.
It was the correct thing to do.
