"field of use" and free software

I would like to express my strong support for the Free Software
Foundation's stance on your proposed acceptance of "field of use"
restrictions on patent claims contributed to W3C standards.

Unless the W3C prohibit "field of use" restrictions then software
will not be developed under the GPL. Many of us rely on the GPL for
our business model. Many of us believe that it's the only legitimate
software licence.

I urge you to change this policy.
