Actually, that's not the problem in this case (and Rigo's not about compact policies is not related to the question I think you are asking) . I checked with the IE6 folks and they think the problem is the expiry date is in the wrong format. Try removing the expiry line (this will give you the default expiry of 24 hours) and see if that works. I will check to see whether the format you use is really invalid and if so why the validator doesn't catch that.
