If you are looking for programmes, try Amaya <http://www.w3.org/Amaya/>. Or MathMagic <http://www.mathmagic.com/> (mac) or Formulator<http://www.mmlsoft.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=11&Itemid=12>(windows). It is good, that you have learned html, however you should use xhtml, which is similar. You should also know how does mathml rendered in different browsers<http://liveworks.ephox.com/hints-tips/rendering-mathml-in-browsers>. Good luck.
