If any of you university students out there are looking for something MathML-related to do for the summer and would like to pick up USD $5,000 doing it, consider applying for the MathML position mentioned on http://webkit.org/blog/162/google-summer-of-code/. For those that don't know, WebKit is what Safari is built on top of. If MathML support is added to WebKit, there is a good chance it will get added to Safari, which is one of the last major browsers without MathML support. You need to get going soon though, google is only taking applications between Monday, March 24, 2008, and Monday, March 31st. I hope this project gets done -- it will be a real boon to MathML usage. Good luck to everyone (anyone?) that applies, Neil Soiffer Senior Scientist Design Science, Inc. neils@dessci.com www.dessci.com ~ Makers of Equation Editor, MathType, MathPlayer and MathFlow ~
