David and Juan discussed a number of issues related to MIME types. It is easy to lose track of some important points in the discussions that ensued, so I want to highlight one point that a number of people have been tripped up by -- you should serve documents containing MathML with the document type "application/xhtml+xml". If you have Apache 2.0 or later, this happens automatically if you use the .xht or .xhtml suffix. For more information on this, along with alternative options, please see http://www.dessci.com/en/products/mathplayer/author/creatingsites.htm#Co ntentNegotiation Neil Soiffer Senior Scientist Design Science, Inc. neils@dessci.com www.dessci.com ~ Makers of Equation Editor, MathType, MathPlayer and MathFlow ~
