newbie--http question

Hi all:

I have been cruising around in the archives for most of the afternoon and haven't quite found what I am looking for--so here goes...

I am trying to identify the subset of libwww files that allows me to implement http functionality on a win32 box...

I am floundering a bit but found this web page http://www.w3.org/Library/src/WWWHTTP.html

Am I heading in the right direction?
