Libwww 5.2 is out!

This release is the first after the libwww code base was made directly
available through CVS in May 1998. There are now more than 530 checked out
copies out there among you.

Special thanks to Bob Racko, John Punin, Vladimir Kozlov, and Jose Kahan
for their great help in this release - may that inspire some more of you
out there!

This release is a wrap up of the current CVS repository with a lot of new
cool features, especially in the libwww robot, the webbot:

	http://www.w3.org/Robot/

and the Web Commander

	http://www.w3.org/WinCom/

Also, a lot of bugs have been fixed and so it should now be more fun and
reliable to use libwww. Performancewise, the libwww HTTP implementation is
in top using HTTP/1.1 pipelining and smart output buffering, persistent
caching, compression and more.

For a discussion of the relationship between CVS and libwww releases, see

Have fun and happy Halloween!
