Hi, I'm attempting to run Jigsaw on a FreeBSD 2.1 box here,a nd running into a few problems; there is currently no stable port of the JDK to FreeBSD (AFAIK; please, correct me if I'm wrong!) and so I'm attempting to run it under the Kaffe Java interpreter (v0.5); Kaffe seems very stable for running/compiling Java code, but I've so far been unable to get Jigsaw to run correctly. If I set the relevant env variables I get this: cyburbia# kaffe w3c.jigsaw.http.httpd -root /usr/local/Jigsaw/Jigsaw Failed to catch exception ... aborting: java/lang/NullPointerException If I give it a -p parameter it comes up with the 'loading properties' line, but dies with the same error after that. Guess my question is: has anyone managed to get Jigsaw running under FreeBSD with either Kaffe or a working JDK port, and (if so) how did you do it? if this is a more simple problem (am I doin' something wrong?) then please, enlighten me :) -Justin. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Justin Viiret Cyburbia Network Services justin@cyburbia.net.au Co-sysadmin and busy guy http://cyburbia.net.au/~justin/ Voice: 08-379-2492, Fax: 08-379-1406 -------------------[Relax, they're only ones and zeroes]---------------------
