agenda+ Input mode changes in HTML

Do we have a view on the changes proposed at

https://whatpr.org/html/3260/ede1de1...a110d0f/interaction.html#input-modalities:-the-inputmode-attribute

compared to the previous (current) version at

https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/form-control-infrastructure.html#input-modalities:-the-inputmode-attribute

here's the PR and thread

https://github.com/whatwg/html/pull/3260

Note that this new proposal coincides with the proposal to introduce an
autocapitalize attribute, which will take care of some aspects of
inputmode that are likely to be dropped. For more on that see

https://github.com/whatwg/html/pull/3273

Note btw that there would no longer be a way to indicate whether the
virtual keyboard should display hiragana vs katakana vs latin.

Also, may be worth me mentioning that switching to a Latin keyboard for
email and url is not necessarily useful these days, as IDNs and IEA
become more widely used.
