Comment on Requirements for Language and Direction Metadata in Data Formats (Editor's Draft 13 July 2017)

In 1.1 "Why is this important?", there is a suggested work-around like follows:

"title": "<span lang='en-US' dir='ltr'>‎Mobi Dick</span>"

 

The ‎ does not contribute anything useful, thus it would better be removed from the suggestion.
