dear www-international subscribers, After discussion in the i18n WG, we have decided to change the way this list recieves notifications of github issues. Rather than sending a separate email to the list each time an issue is created or closed (in which case, if you are already following the issue you receive two copies) for all issues in all github repositories, we'll now receive two daily digests that show all activity across a set of repos for the previous 24 hours in a single email. This should substantially reduce the traffic on the list, making it easier to spot other emails that aren't github notifications. It will also allow us to see when and to what extent people are contributing comments to existing issues, so that popular issues can be identified and so that existing issues are not forgotten. This is something that wasn't possible until now. There are two types of github repository for which we currently receive notifications: (a) repos that house i18n documents or pages, and (b) repos of other WGs where we lodge spec review comments or track that WGs issues. We will have separate digests for these two. Today, i will set up the digest for the i18n repos, and then i'll set up the other next week when i'm back in the office (because it's slightly more complicated and i want to do some testing). I hope you will find that this improves you experience on www-international. Each digest has links that make it easy to view an issue thread. As always, don't forget to subscribe to those issues that are of interest to you, if you want to get comments sent direct to your mailbox. best, ri
