Today the MultilingualWeb-LT Working Group has published a second last call Working Draft of "Internationalization Tag Set (ITS) 2.0" [1]. The group has addressed all comments received during the first LC period, see the disposition of comments at [2]. The status section provides a list of substantive changes that were made in response to the first last call [3]. The last call period ends 11 June. Since the test suite [4] already covers two or more implementations for each feature, the Working Group is planning to move directly to proposed recommendation status. The latest Editor's draft for the Last Call Working Draft publication is available at [5]. Abstract: --------- The technology described in this document - the Internationalization Tag Set (ITS) 2.0 - enhances the foundation to integrate automated processing of human language into core Web technologies. ITS 2.0 bears many commonalities with is predecessor, ITS 1.0 but provides additional concepts that are designed to foster the automated creation and processing of multilingual Web content. ITS 2.0 focuses on HTML, XML-based formats in general, and can leverage processing based on the XML Localization Interchange File Format (XLIFF), as well as the Natural Language Processing Interchange Format (NIF). --------- Best regards, Felix (staff contact and co-chair of the MultilingualWeb-LT Working Group) [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/2013/WD-its20-20130521/ [2] http://www.w3.org/International/multilingualweb/lt/drafts/its20/disposition-of-comments-1st-last-call.html [3] http://www.w3.org/TR/2013/WD-its20-20130521/#status [4] http://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://raw.github.com/finnle/ITS-2.0-Testsuite/master/its2.0/testSuiteDashboard.html [5] http://www.w3.org/International/multilingualweb/lt/drafts/its20/its20.html
