Subject: SWAD-E Workshop 15-16/7, CPH: Metadata in a Multilingual World

Hi folks,

for those who are wondering how to decipher the title:

The Semantic Web Advanced Development - Europe project is holding a
developers' workshop on the topic Metadata in a Multilingual World

It will take place in Copenhagen on 15 and 16 July, hosted by the Danish
National Library Authority, in Nyhavn, Copenhagen.

The general goal of the workshop is to explore the issues and current state
of the art in the use of Metadata to support the multilingual environment
where we expect the web and most particularly the semantic web, to operate.
We hope to produce a report which is a useful guide for developers looking
into this area, to stimulate discussion amongst people who may not normally
have an opportunity to work together, and to identify important areas of
work which need to be addressed.

The workshop is open to particiaption by anybody, and is free, although
registration is required before 7 July. In order to register, you also need
to provide a brief and informal description of your work or interests in the
area - preferably with links that can be given to other participants who
want to do some reading in advance.

More information including logistics, how to register, etc, is availalbe
from the Workshop page: http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/Europe/events/200407-cph/

An example report from the most recent developers' workshop is also
available: http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/Europe/reports/dev_workshop_report_6

best regards
