Dear comrades, I propose that those of us who remain on Friday evening, 2002-02-01, make it a night on the town. My suggestions would be to get a meal in the Adams Morgan neighborhood and/or to see a movie at Visions Cinema. Both are within walking distance of the Omni. Adams Morgan, which boasts an ethnically diverse population, has restaurants representing Ethiopia, France, Italy, India, Latin America, West Africa, the Southwest United States, and probably more. Oh, and the neighborhood has plenty of bars. Even closer to the hotel is Mama Ayesha's, an Arabic restaurant frequented by journalist Helen Thomas. Visions Cinema is the only independent cinema in Washington, DC. Visions regularly shows pictures of international origin. I do not yet know which movies Visions will have on offer during the workshop, but each participant is free to check the schedule as it is updated: <http://www.visionsdc.com/calendar/index.shtml>. -- Etan Wexler mailto:ewexler@stickdog.com tel:+1-703-242-1680
