sorry for being new, but i need to ask, what do we need section elements for? don't we seperate sections by sub-headings?

  It depends which bits of XHTML2 you plan on using.

  Throwing in a few <section> elements to a mostly-XHTML-1.x page will
  work fine in most existing browsers. In many browsers you will be able
  to apply styles and such to them, maybe even manipulate them in the DOM.

  Start using XForms and '<p src="foo">...</p>' and you're into a whole
  other territory though.
