sorry for being new, but i need to ask, what do we need section elements for? don't we seperate sections by sub-headings? Do you know of any ? It depends which bits of XHTML2 you plan on using. Throwing in a few <section> elements to a mostly-XHTML-1.x page will work fine in most existing browsers. In many browsers you will be able to apply styles and such to them, maybe even manipulate them in the DOM.
