I agree, I filed a bug about this a couple of months ago for Konqueror in case anybody wants to vote on it or add comments: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=52719 I'd also ask people to take caching into consideration when evaluating content negotiation - is it really more useful to serve application/xhtml+xml to a minority of visitors when it lowers the effectiveness of caching? Wouldn't a better short-term approach be to serve XHTML 1.0 / App C or HTML 4.01 to everybody, regardless of their accept header? -- Jim Dabell
