For your information, I started a discussion at the C|NET's Builder Buzz community to poll for other viewpoints: "Can we get by with no style?" <http://buzz.builder.com/cgi-bin/WebX?14@179.eEpNaxEijD5^14@.ee7ed75/0> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY I have these preliminary observations from the first day running: 1. They can get by without it (you are not likely to get petitions on www-html for the return of style attribute...) 2. There may (or may not) be an issue with DOM. Dynamically changing the presentation of a single element is simple now, but will be (a little? a lot?) more convolved if you can't just stick it in a style attribute.
